 There are not too many couples who can boast they were engaged in the town of Norwood Young America, MN (mostly because the population of Norwood Young America isn’t that big), but Becca Rose Miller and Jordan Scott Lillemon may be one of the only couples to claim this fame. Jordan planned every detail without spilling the surprise to their friends. The muse began as a gathering of North Dakota State University college friends gathering for a Johnny Holms dance at Stiftungsfest, the annual town celebration held in Norwood Young America. Jordan contacted the singer’s daughter about getting a moment on stage during the concert to propose. Plans were tentative as Jordan didn’t receive confirmation until the evening before. During the song “Sold,” Johnny
pulled the couple onto stage, gave the microphone to Jordan who dropped to his knee and proposed.
Becca and Jordan’s relationship began years earlier as unassuming as the proposal, at a Ground Round restaurant in Fargo, North Dakota. “Many college students would head to Ground Round on Wednesday evenings for their cheap drink specials.” Becca was the city girl from Savage, MN and Jordan the small-town boy from Ashby, MN. They seemed an unlikely couple, but a deep connection occurred that evening and two began dating. In the first meeting, Becca learned Jordan was studying civil engineering while Becca’s coursework involved marketing, apparel, and textile merchandising. Becca became attracted
