Lindsay & Greg desired an outdoor wedding with friends and family enjoying all Minnesota has to offer. The couple opted for the first weekend in August 2018. Greg’s family owned and operated a resort on Lake Irene near Alexandria, MN, and Lindsay and Greg spent time in the cabins there while dating. With some site preparation and maintenance of the property, the former resort provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and reception.

Lindsay + Greg wanted their wedding to be as personalized to them as possible. Lindsay chose a strapless, form-fitting Inbal Dror dress with a beaded, lace bodice and beaded train. “The dress I picked was the first dress I tried on. It was opposite of what I thought I wanted, but as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was right.” The Vera Wang floor length veil complemented the dress perfectly.

The 120 guests gathered on that Friday evening for a cocktail hour set to Lindsay + Greg’s favorite Blue Grass Band, Blue Hazard. Greg surprised Lindsay by singing an original song her wrote for her while in Nashville. After dinner, 120 guests danced to DJ Dan Cooper. The celebration continued into the weekend with many guests staying in the cabins and partaking in a brunch buffet the next morning, a grill out in the afternoon, and a campfire on Saturday evening. “It was a wonderful way to be able to spend more time with our friends and family since the day of goes by so fast.”

Linsay Rae Knott is the daughter of Randy and Kim Hultgren of Raymond, MN. Gregory Michael Bruce Amundson is the son of Bruce and Joann Amundson of Worthington, MN. The couple will travel to the Amalfi Coast in May for their honeymoon.
